Friday eye candy

I'm a nautical girl at heart.  Not sure how did it start since I didn't grow up in a beach town, wait! Is that why? Maybe, but I love water and a clean sand.  It makes me happy and it's one of my great source of inspirations.  Enjoy your weekend!

St James Sweater

 God! have I forgotten this gem blog this week?  Not in my heart though.  I've been running around and this post has been sitting there for two days now.  Yesterday was a hectic day, running around from one work site to the other and when I noticed it was too late to make it to the Kips Bay Decorator's cocktail party to which I was invited.  Oh well these are the days! 
Without even knowing it was going to rain today I prepared this post on Sunday night, but it seems too appropriate since nautical inspirations many times have to do with loads and loads of rainy ports.  Enjoy!

Have A Nautically Chic Weekend

The high temperatures here in the Northeast have broken records.  It reached 103 degrees yesterday and although it calls for staying inside under the cool effect of AC, reality screams something different.  But finally the weekend is here and I have decided that even when it's burning hot outside, outdoors is the place for me to be this weekend.  But before I confront the heat wave outside I will suck in all these relaxing and refreshing images for inspiration and perhaps encouragement.  Happy weekend everyone!
