Take it outside

Because we live in a condo I really miss having a spacious outdoor space and make it as habitable and comfortable as possible.  But when we do, way down the road, our outdoor patio will have to have a place to eat Al Fresco, cushions, there must be a bunch for comfort, evergreen and of course flowers among which there will be wisteria, lavender and roses. ummm...that sounds like a lot of purple.

The sun is finally peeking out after three consecutive days of rain.  Well, let's say it's been very March lately so I'm looking forward to enjoying the outside and, as I said before, nothing else inspires me more than Nature.  These outdoor living areas are my own way of calling for real Spring weather.  Enjoy

I have this image by Melanie Acevedo on my inspirational board for the longest time and still makes me smile every time I look at it.  I hope one day I get to see my son walking with his grandma just like that.  What a vision!!!

Brad Ford, let's take it outside

This is the room designed by Brad Ford at this year's Kips Bay show. It's the "stereo lounge" and I love it because first it's very unique and second it feels like an outdoor room. It's also a bit masculine which is something that could be cool. When I saw it in the New York Times I couldn't but imagine a summer outdoor wedding or event that carries the same atmosphere. Below, I came up with an Organic-like event decor.

Boho style taken outside

Everything about Boho Style is relaxing and laid back glamorous and it gets even better when it's taken outside. I have said before how nothing inspired more than the outdoors and due to the beautiful days we're finally enjoying lately I feel such a desire of being outside and enjoying these short days of summer. If I had a big enough outdoor space I think I would go for a Boho style. Yeah, definitely.

Got no green thumb

It's time to spend more time outside and enjoy the "God blessed weather." But first I have to accommodate our deck in order to do that. Of course my dream of a flowery outdoor space has literally gone with the wind. Our deck is too windy for the delicate nature of flowering plants. So I'm looking into stronger plants that require less physical effort as well. Remember these Domino images? I can't overload our deck with anything like this but it's a great point of departure for inspiration.
