A Perfect beach house

When I think of a long weekend the first thing that comes to my mind is a comfy beach house where to escape. Since we can't go anywhere this weekend I can only dream of being in this gorgeous house designed by Tom Scheerer that has enchanted me since the first time I laid my eyes on it.

I love how the beauty of this house slowly reveals itself. As I keep looking at it I can notice the different colors and textures that at first are barely discernible due to the calmness in the colors. I also love how the playful patterns on the fabrics and wallpapers and the comfortable furniture make this house perfect for a family vacation home with a great degree of sophistication. As this house proves, a beach house doesn't have to lack grandeur.

Have a happy 4th of July weekend!!!

Deck Inspiration

I'm inspired by outdoor spaces a lot lately and these ones do it for me.

P.S. Below is a picture of how our deck looks like now after the winter. I'll be working on it on my spare time to make it cozier and more habitable. I'll be showing you the process.

Just perfect

I see something French, modern, traditional, tropical, sculptural in this image and everything works absolutely perfect together.

Living with hats

Ahh... I remember the days when old gentlemen used to wear hats and sit in the local park smoking cigars. Well as you can see I'm from the tropics. Hats, this is how they use them now.

Have a warm weekend

Sorry for the lack of posts. I've been busy planning another project. I'll share the details with you later. I love the calmness and the soothing colors in this room and the wall with corals above the bed is so clever. Don't you think?

Trying to escape from reality

It's been a ridiculously rainy week here in the Northeast and I've been craving some beach time. Since that seems to be a little bit out of our lives right now I opted to saturate myself with gorgeous, breath taking beachy images and leave you this weekend with some of them for you to look at every time you want.

Call me girly or romantic but I am head over heels for this dining room.

Now, this is one of the most beautiful beach bedrooms I've seen lately. I adore the bed and the bedding. How about you?

I love that blue floor and the blue cushion and the blue bottles, and the blue sea. And the green palm trees, don't you feel like you can almost touch them?

You can't get more beachy Bohemia than this door. Really.

Sigh. I hope you can find your escape (either virtual or physical) this weekend too.
