Humor for your weekend

Humor is the tendency of particular cognitive experiences to provoke laughter and provide amusement. Wikipedia.   I choose to be silly most of the time because sometimes that's all you need to be happy.  Life is composed of moments and if we fill them with lightness of heart and spirit everything looks and feels much better.  It's not always easy to do that but, it's worth the try!  I hope you have a fun and laughter-filled weekend!

Friday eye candy

I am trilled it's Friday and I get to disconnect and spend quality time with family!  Our little one was staying with his grandparents in Ohio for one entire month!  Now that's a long time!  Finally my hubby went and brought him back home two nights ago.  This weekend is all about catching up with him and playing.  Being a mom is stressful to the core sometimes but it's also relaxing at the same time because it's the only moment and space where I truly can be myself without being afraid of being criticized or rejected.  I hope you get to enjoy your weekend!

Friday Eye Candy

Thankfully we've had a few nicer, less hot days lately that have given us the chance for a breath of fresh air.  The weekend however seems to be bringing along with it another heat wave that would make me more hungry for a vacation getaway.  My hubby and I have been discussing how wonderful would be to hit the Amalfi Coast, unfortunately that seems too far from the true since we instead, need to be getting ready for our move to Sao Paulo, hopefully we'll make to Punta Del Este for Christmas, fingers crossed!
Last week I had our home professionally photographed by Robert Levin and I'm extremely happy with the result.  I can't wait to share it with you.

It feels so long

I've been away from the computer most of the week because I’ve been running around like a chicken without head.  Hopefully next week will be an easier and less busy one.  I truly wish I had a summer home like this one to escape for the weekend or maybe forever!
I'll come back with a regular schedule next week.  Until then enjoy it!

The Fabulous Weekend

Can Mondays be the third day of the weekend from now on please?  I can't believe how fast this week went by.  May seems to be the month where half the people I know celebrate their birthday, including my hubby, so I've been a bit busy not only with work but also with birthday appointments, ha! 
Not sure what the weekend brings me, nothing planned yet.
Can we talk about those chairs above... Are they beautiful or what?  I don't know who makes them, if anyone can tell, please do.

Be careful what you wish for...

It's what they say...?  I think that makes more sense when it comes to snow.  People around me, excluding myself, would be perfectly happy with seeing snow only in ski destinations, were complaining about the East coast having not seen enough snow this winter.  So, mother nature heard them and today it is snowing outside our window.  A truly beautiful vision, especially when you're lucky to see it from above, but glad there is only 3 to 4" maximum expected.  Cuddle up!

Have A Happy Weekend

I'll be signing off early for the week.   I wanted to apologize to my blogger friends who I haven't been able to visit as often as I'd like.  My days are pretty hectic these days my friends.  Between work and deadlines, Lucas' new school adaptation, family responsibilities, and daily duties, it seems that waking up at 6:00AM sharp and going to bed at 10:30PM is not enough.  I can't find a time for leisure, although I know it's important to do so.  It looks like the only "free time" I can get is when I get to spend time with the little one, which is probably the most important time of all.  I hope you understand.  :)
